John Kerry, who claims to have served in Vietnam, has allowed the statutory limit within which he could file suit against the Swiftboat Veterans for defamation to pass.
Massachusetts’ three-year statute of limitations for defamation claims made it the very last feasible venue in which Sen. Kerry conceivably could file suit and gain his public vindication, if the SwiftVets’ allegations about him were false.
Of course, he could also have released his military records, as promised, and given the public the proof he insists exists to clear his name. But, he isn’t honest enough to sign the SF-180, as he promised to do 940 days ago. So, we know that he can not defend himself from the Swiftee’s charges; or he would have taken remedial action by now. The coward.

When I’m not pretending to be the reincarnation of a dead president, I’m known by an older (and far stranger) moniker that’s a portmanteau of two names, together referencing my favorite cartoon character – not to mention the entity who first introduced me to conservatism.
Some people unfairly label the cartoonist Berkeley Breathed as “liberal” (I think it’s his first name that cements the idea). But his work – if not exactly “fair” to some Republicans over the years – has certainly taken aim at the extremes and sacred cows of both parties and all ideologies. Though an ardent opponent of labels, he has said he’s closest to a libertarian.
Today, Breathed’s work is earning a stamp of disapproval many cartoonists take pride in – he’s hit a target too close to the mark, and some of the newspapers that carry him have refused to publish it. Ironically, I find the content of the strip to be rather mild, but it’s no surprise that it’s generated furor since it relates to the media’s favorite taboo-that-shall-not-be-attacked these days… ISLAM.
Since the interests of the First Amendment, my own politics, and the fate of the Republic are all in alignment, I’m proud to offer this taste of revolt against today’s liberal intelligentsia. The New York Post has an article in today’s edition entitled “HILL: TERROR WOULD BE GOP BOOST”
That HILL isn’t a reference to someone with the last name Hill, and is only tangentially a reference to Capitol Hill. No, that is a reference to Hill as in Hillary, as in Hillary Clinton, and here is the nut of the article…
“It’s a horrible prospect to ask yourself, ‘What if? What if?’ But if certain things happen between now and the election, particularly with respect to terrorism, that will automatically give the Republicans an advantage again, no matter how badly they have mishandled it, no matter how much more dangerous they have made the world,” Clinton told supporters in Concord.The only thing I can conclude from this is that Hillary is praying that we do not have another terrorist attack because it would hurt her chances of obtaining the power she so desperately craves. I cannot see how anyone could interpret those words any differently.“So I think I’m the best of the Democrats to deal with that,” she added.
Me, I pray we do not have another terrorist attack because I don’t want Americans to die or this country to be hurt. I guess that just makes me a simple hick from flyover country who just doesn’t “get” the nuanced thinking of someone like Mrs. Bill Clinton.
Something tells me I’m in better company.

The FBI is seeking to interview the two men shown in the above picture. If you know where they can be found call: 202 622-0460.
The Seattle FBI and the Washington Joint Analytical Center (WAJAC) are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the two individuals pictured below. These men have been seen aboard Washington State Ferries on several occasions and have exhibited unusual behavior, which was reported by passengers. While this behavior may have been innocuous, the FBI and WAJAC would like to resolve these reports.
Additionally: The Seatle newspapers are not cooperating with the FBI, for fear they may hurt somebody’s feelings.

“You know what, folks? I think it’s time for a new name for Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama, and until it changes, until the way he’s being treated by the Drive-Bys changes, ……….there is such a desire in the Drive-Bys that Obama do well, like there is in the NFL for people like McNabb to do well, that we’re going to call him “Barack O’McNabb.”
Rush is right again, and this time the usual suspects aren’t even trying to make a buck by denying the truth. Perhaps ESPN will fire him again.
Also, note the slam by Mrs. O’McNabb against Mrs. Bill Clinton:
‘Our view is that if you can’t run your own house, you certainly can’t run the White House,’
Girl fight! Of course Michele O’McNabb is right; Mrs. Bill Clinton can not run her own house, and even when we had “two for one” Clintons they could not run the White House. But, the men who oppose her for the Democratic nomination remember how Rick Lazio lost because he picked on the girl, so they are sending their wives out for girl fights instead of standing up to Mrs. Bil Clinton themselves.

Open Mouth, Insert Richochet Insult

I have selected to place this post under the category of, “politics”, only because we have not created an “adolescent behavior” category option to date.
In a story that reminds me of how my brother-in-law recently decried the possibility of a President named Mitt, or Newt as unacceptable because the name is weird, another liberal goes down the ‘Republican candidate with a funny name’ avenue in attempt to score political advantage. This time the author chose one argument too many when she includes the Urban Dictionary.com definition for Fred, only to have Taranto [Better Fred Than Dead] throw back at her the same source’s definition for the writer’s name, Monica.
So what’s in name? And whatever happened to the push for diversity? Does diversity not apply to names, or Republicans?
Sure, some names sound weirder than others, if you strain to take notice. But, then again maybe this year only the Republican candidates have distinctive names; maybe not. I long ago stopped taking notice of such things, and not just because my father and brother are named Kermit, or that my grandfathers were named Leroy and Howard; but because when I grew up the important things came more in focus. The contributions of folk named Plato, Copernicus, Albert, Abraham etc. are more important than are the vibrations associated with the pronunciation of their names. The same is true of those luminaries named Isaac, Ronald, Winston, Franklin, and so on.
The arguments made by this girl Hesse could be made for any name. Exaggerate the “B” and rush through the “ill” and even “Bill” sounds goofy. Especially if you are stoned, which may have been her state when she wrote her drivel. I think what Monica (snicker, snicker, he, he) is guilty is what I have come to call, Haight Speech.
Haight Speech:
-noun
1) speech that attacks America based on the counter culture values characteristic of 1960’s American youth.2) speech based on the assumption that traditional American values are wrong dude.
3) the form of utterance characteristic of the self medicating individual.
4) speech which pretends profundity but is of an adolescent nature delivered by someone who should be old enough to know better.

Just doing my part to help this spread. Funny that they say this is “going viral” because, while it is getting around the internet and blogosphere like a virus, there are far too many people living in this country who look upon the condition these words convey – patriotism – as an illness or affliction that needs to be cured. I just wish that there were more people immune to that kind of thinking.

OK… so last week, Mrs. Bill Clinton said the following:
I don’t believe that any president should make any blanket statements with respect to the use or non-use of nuclear weapons.I agree with that statement. It is ludicrous to prevent or exclude the use of a weapon that may someday be needed on the battlefield. And make no mistake, as much as the Democrats will hate to hear it, first and foremost the President is a soldier – the Commander in Chief – and as such must be cognizant of the possibility of a myriad of conditions on the any number of potential battlefields. When I heard she said that I though that perhaps a modicum of sanity and realism had crept into the persona of the Junior Senator from New York.But then I read that in April of 2006, when asked about reports that the Bush administration was considering military intervention – possibly even a nuclear strike – to prevent Iran from escalating its nuclear program, she had this to say:
I would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table…Oh well, so much for sanity and realism. But, in the spirit of full disclosure, Mrs. Bill Clinton actually said more than just that she would take nuclear weapons out of any future equation, she said this:
I have said publicly no option should be off the table, but I would certainly take nuclear weapons off the table.For those of you trying to keep score at home, she has said, combined and placed in chronological order:
