» Zell Miller on Why He Skipped Boston from Slant Point
Zell Miller writes an op-ed on why he skipped the DNC Convention, and why he's speaking at the RNC Convention. And in case you don't know who Zell Miller is, I'll just start off by saying he's a Democrat. You can read and figure out... [Read More]

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why we curse liberalism and not the Democratic Party. In days gone by, we could say the Democrats are wrong, and agree to disagree. But a party is just a vessel - sometimes it's got leaks and you need the bilge pump on, and sometimes it's a damn fine ship. But in the Democrats' case, it's been taken over by pirates and they're out to steal your country.
If you doubt that, listen to poor Juan Williams (one of the True Believers who hasn't learned the lessons of communism yet) as he tried to make the case to Fred Barnes last night that the Republican Party seemed to own the flag in previous years, and now the Democrats are taking it back.
Juan, in case you missed it, the liberals never wanted to fly the flag before because they were too busy burning it. The Republicans never said they owned it, they just suggested that Americans should defend it and the liberals made the rest of the conclusion on their own.
Regardless of which party wins this election, you'll find that the flag will soon be stained with even more American blood. The conservative response is to defend that flag and the nation it represents, even if it becomes soaked in that blood. The liberal response is to blame the flag bearer for killing the enemy and offer to run away to avoid any more fights.
I know which way Zell Miller would turn, and I deeply regret that his party has left him to stand guard alone.
