How to vote Catholic

Catholic Answers has created an indispensible Voter's Guide for Serious Catholics. There are also video versions of the guide in various formats. If any Catholics out there don't understand anything in the guide, or would like to try to dispute anything in it, the comments section and my email are both open to you.

Thank you for taking note to my question on my sons blog.

I have had such a hard time trying to understand Senator Kerry.

I am spending my days at home due to an illness that is pretty rough but get out to Max Lucado's church as often as I can. I think you would know him since he is rated just about the number one christian author in the world.

I am not catholic but do have tremendous respect for Catholics.

Well, I've heard of him now. :-) Pastor Lucado sounds like a great preacher, and I was impressed with some of the commentaries he has posted on his site.

Unfortunately, the divisions between Catholics and other Christians cause us to sometimes float in different circles, so some idea or personality from one faith may not be as well known in the others, no matter how popular it might seem. I've seen a Baptist's face contort with confusion when I say the name Fulton J. Sheen, one of the most beloved and renowned Catholic bishops of the 20th Century, despite my certainty when I was growing up that there wasn't any more well-known American Catholic in the world.

Thanks for the visit and the kind words, and know that many of us Catholics have great respect for many of our non-Catholic brethren. I pray you feel better soon and that you recovery quickly from your ailment.

Chris, I wrote you more on Dean's site.

I love love love....Fulton Sheen! We get his old television shows on our catholic and christian channels.

Max Lucado is a simple humble man. He came from Church of Christ background and earlier this year the elders and long time members felt it would be best to drop Church of Christ...long long story there but enlightening.

To find more about Max Lucado, you would google Upwards Ministry.

My son Dean helped me years ago when my best girlfriend was suffering her genetic depression and Jeh.Witness came to her door. She had been Catholic all her life and Dean talked to a few priests to help me.

I'm sure happy you visit Dean's World. I was a regular commentor there but had not told many people who I was. Yesterday was their sons birthday, lil'Jacob Esmay so I just came on out and said who I was.

Thanks for your kind words on my ailment. It is Rhum.Arth./Lupus and knocks me out when I take my treatment once a week to keep it hopefully at bay. I live with my cat, Mr. Pips aand he takes great care of me. The funny guy is really a dog in a cat's body. He wags his tail and is at the front door when I come home and then he rolls over and over! What a hoot, he is on my recliner right now and sometimes he gets his paw and bats the screen on my laptop.

Go see if you get a chane what my question was over on Dean's site and I am heading over to La Shawn's site.

Blessings A Bounty Full,

Mary Janelle
