What have the Americans ever done for us?
You've got to admire anyone who can work a Monty Python reference into an article about serious geopolitical issues. But while Mr. Baker compares us to the Romans, I can't help but think that the machinations of the Taliban, al Qaeda, and Syria are begining to look more and more like... the Spanish Inquisition!
(I know you didn't expect that! That's because NOBODY expects...)

Bush is winning because of 3 things: Ideas, Character, Resolution and the support of a majority of Americans.
Four things: Ideas, Character...

LOL Chris Muir! But other than bringing forth ideas, having character, showing resolve, and garning the support of the majority of Americans behind his agenda, what has he done?
Loyal to his family.
Alright then, five things, other than......
Returned dignity to the office of President.
Right, needed that, six, but again other..
Bolstered the morale of those who defend Freedom.
Right, the military was in the dumps...
Presented a face of courage, an example for all in the throes of danger after 9/11.
Extended a hand across the aisle, even if it was slapped away.
Minority advancement in the highest seats of government.
Working to strenghten the culture of life.
Kept John Kerry out of the White House.
All good points, got to grant him those, but other than that list....oh, I give up, let his detractors consume some large raven-hued fowl, for he is a good man and his works get desireable results.
