Closer to fascism than some may think
An intriguing article that could have been posted at either The Black Republican or The Black Madonna, Mystery Achievement suggests that the improving relationship between Catholics and Jews still has a long way to go. I ended up posting this here, rather than at TBM, because of the extensive exerpt of an article in the Jeruselem Post, describing the extensive ties between the first jihadis and Hitlerian Nazi Germany. "Islamo-fascism" is more than just a neocon catchphrase.

Israel has been the elephant in the room that never gets talked about in the War on terror (President Bush did speak to it today in a speech before a VFW crowd). It was very interesting to see that today's islamofacism is a relatively new phenomenon and grew out of the anti-semitic policies of Nazism. Also, the part about Atta's possible motivation for 9/11, he wanted to strike at the heart (NYC) of what he perceived as a worldwide Jewish conspiracy, is a new take on what drove him and his followers to act. And, it rips a large hole in the most commonly heard theories for why the terrorists hate us.
