Going On Wilma Induced Bliatus
Bliatus, is my new word, combining blogging and hiatus. The most recent hurricane is predicted to come this way (Naples, FL.), and, taking my own advice, I have begun preparing to leave. I will not be in here again until the danger passes.
See you again after the storm.

I don't know about Steve, but I'm on the way out as well. We're lucky that a wedding on the east coast has been perfectly timed to do double duty as an evacuation point. Hopefully, I'll be blogging details on a remote feed over the weekend of how Wilma has passed too far south to do much harm to my home - but, of course, that leaves us passing the buck toward someone else. Sorry Naples, Marco, and Key West, but our gain might be your loss. Good luck and God bless to all.

Well, every possible opening into the house now has plywood covering it (except the front door, but that is metal) and we are outta here - off to Tampa. I figure if Wilma heads that way we have a lot more options for escape or evasion from there than here. I just don't want to be like the guy in Austin Powers who gets run over by a steamroller he could see coming from 50 feet away - and Wilma is beginning to look a bit like that steamroller.
Naples is a beautiful area to live, but this is the one real downside... and this one has the potential to be a once in a century thing. Say a lot of prayers, and to my TBR compatriots... be safe!
