The self-proclaimed voice of the Democratic Party
I have agonized over whether or not to write this post, but like the brown shirts and white hoods of the past, in order to understand a thing people must be able to look at the unvarnished truth of that thing, no matter how revolting or grotesque. I agonized because, having been in the Army myself, I find it utterly disgusting that any person enjoying the freedoms and privileges of this country can actually believe, let alone publicly give voice to, this sort of anti-military, anti-American sentiment. Although I know this blog doesn't reach very many people outside the Dextrosphere (who already know of this), and despite my personal revulsion, I felt I had to post this on the offhand chance that someone who has not seen these things can read and hear for themselves the words of those claiming to be the new voice of the Democratic Party.
Remember the words of this man human being individual the next time you hear someone on the elite liberal left say they "support the troops."
And the truth shall set you free, A. Whitney Brown. And you shall forever be known by that truth!
I have but one response to this piece of shit, and that is to paraphrase the character Colonel Nathan Jessup from the movie (another liberal attempt demonize the military) A Few Good Men. (It still amazes me that the whiney liberal elite tool that wrote this was attempting to make the military look bad!)
Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, A. Whitney Brown? The United States Military has a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for the fact that your tax money pays for our beans and bullets and you curse the Military; you have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what we know - that the War in Iraq, while tragic, probably saved lives. And the Military's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want the Military on that wall. You need the Military on that wall. Soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen all use words like honor, code, loyalty. They use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain any of this to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that they provide, and then questions the manner in which they provide it. I would rather you just said "Thank you", and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think about the Military!
Since I'm quoting movies I can tell you with short quote what, if asked, 95% of Military personnel would say about you and your "opinion" of them...
I crap bigger than you!And before you continue badmouthing them A. Witney, you should really count your blessings that those 95% are there. They're the only thing keeping the other 5% from ripping off your head and pissing down your throat. And at the rate you are going, while they would stop it from happening if they witnessed it, it wouldn't take much for those 95% to just turn their back.
