Things like this make us Republicans look very ignorant. There are plenty of points to be anti-Obama on. His name is not one of them. If we have any chance at winning this election, we need to be much more intelligent than this.

If conservatives had a candidate who I could defend intelligently, I might have a discussion with you on that point. But the Republicans nominated John McCain instead, so we're left attacking the greater of two evils instead - and I see nothing wrong with that.

Besides which, I personally can't remember the last presidential candidate who won solely based on the intelligently-phrased prose backing his political stance on issues. If you want to advocate intelligent decision-making, join a philosophy club. Politics is a game for pragmatic compromisers, not puritanical idealists.
